Loreto Sport Fishing Charter: 5-8 Hour Trips | Aventuras

Experience some of Baja California Sur’s most exciting sport fishing on a private charter through the waters of Loreto and the Sea of Cortez.
Loreto is famous for its seasonal dorado and yellowtail fishing, but its diverse marine environment offers opportunities to target many different species throughout the year. Depending on the season, you may also find marlin, sailfish, tuna, roosterfish, snapper, grouper, cabrilla and other game fish.
Your fishing day begins early at the Loreto Marina aboard a 26-foot shaded panga. Our experienced local captain selects the fishing area according to the season, recent activity, weather and sea conditions.
Depending on the target species and conditions, the day may include trolling, casting, jigging, live-bait fishing or bottom fishing. The captain will help prepare the equipment, explain the techniques and assist both experienced anglers and guests fishing for the first time.
Fishing rods, reels and tackle are included, so you do not need to travel with your own equipment. You are also welcome to bring your preferred fishing gear after confirming that it is appropriate for the target species.
A fresh lunch, cold drinks and water are provided during the trip. The charter normally lasts between five and eight hours, depending on the selected option, fishing location and marine conditions.
All fishing takes place responsibly and in accordance with Mexican sport-fishing regulations, seasonal restrictions and legal catch limits. Catching a particular species or number of fish cannot be guaranteed.
Seasonal Fishing in Loreto
Winter and Spring
Cooler months are best known for powerful yellowtail, one of Loreto’s most sought-after game fish. Depending on conditions, anglers may also target snapper, grouper, cabrilla and other species found around rocky reefs and deeper structures.
Summer and Early Fall
Warmer water brings dorado, marlin, sailfish and other pelagic species into the waters around Loreto. Dorado fishing is one of the highlights of the summer season, while additional species may include tuna and roosterfish.
Fish movements change naturally from year to year. Contact us before booking, and we will explain which species are most likely to be available during your visit.
