Experience the Baja desert behind the wheel of a high-performance Speed UTV on this guided half-day off-road tour from Loreto.
The adventure begins with a complete vehicle and safety briefing. Your guide will explain the controls, radio communication, convoy procedures and what to expect from the terrain before the group enters the trails.
The route explores the desert surrounding Loreto, travelling through sandy arroyos, rocky tracks, open desert and forests of giant cardón cactus. We also ride through areas connected to Baja off-road racing, including sections of terrain used along Baja 1000 routes.
Several stops are made throughout the experience, giving you time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs and learn more about the desert, the surrounding mountains and the history of off-road racing in Baja California Sur.
This is an authentic off-road adventure rather than a slow sightseeing ride. However, the guide controls the group’s pace and adjusts the route according to the drivers’ confidence, experience and current trail conditions.

Discover one of Baja California Sur’s most spectacular overland routes on a full-day Speed UTV adventure from Loreto to the Pacific Coast.
The journey begins in Loreto and climbs into the Sierra de la Giganta toward San Javier. Here, we stop to visit the historic Misión San Francisco Javier de Viggé-Biaundó and explore one of the most beautiful mountain communities in the region.
From San Javier, we continue across the Sierra de la Giganta, following remote dirt roads, mountain passes, desert valleys and sections connected to Baja’s legendary off-road racing routes. Several scenic stops are made along the way to rest, take photographs and enjoy the changing landscape.
After crossing the peninsula, we arrive on the Pacific side and visit a local oyster farm. Here, guests can taste exceptionally fresh oysters, enjoy lunch and experience a side of Baja that few visitors to Loreto ever see.
After lunch, we return to Loreto along the same spectacular mountain route. This approximately eight-hour expedition combines off-road driving, Baja history, mountain scenery, rural communities and fresh oysters.
Coronado Island Tour in Loreto

Located inside Loreto Bay National Park, Coronado Island is one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in the Sea of Cortez. This approximately five-hour boat tour combines wildlife observation, snorkeling and relaxing beach time in one unforgettable experience.
We depart from Loreto aboard at 9:00 a.m a comfortable 26-foot shaded panga. As we navigate toward the island, you can enjoy panoramic views of the coastline, the Sierra de la Giganta and Coronado’s distinctive volcanic cone.
Our first stops focus on exploring the island’s dramatic rocky shoreline and observing its wildlife. Coronado is home to a resident colony of California sea lions, and when conditions allow, guests may have the opportunity to snorkel near them in their natural environment.
Sea lions are wild animals, so encounters and water conditions vary. Our crew always maintains a respectful distance and follows the regulations of Loreto Bay National Park.
The tour continues to one of Coronado Island’s beautiful white-sand beaches, where you can swim, snorkel, use the paddleboard or simply relax beside the clear turquoise water. Snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and shade are provided.
A fresh ceviche lunch and drinks are served at the beach, giving you time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings before returning to Loreto at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Along the way, you may also see dolphins, rays, sea turtles, tropical fish and seabirds. Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed, making every Coronado Island adventure different.
Our small-group format creates a more personal and relaxed experience, with local guides who know the island, its marine life and the best places to visit according to the day’s conditions.
Whale watching in Loreto
Loreto sits on one of the few places on earth where blue whales feed and grey whales calve within reach of a morning boat. The season runs winter into spring, and the trips go out from the same marina as our island tours.
